OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out shortly after engine is started. Light indicates low oil pressure, but does not indicate amount of oil in engine. If light remains on or comes on while driving, stop vehicle, turn off engine and check oil level. If oil level is sufficient, there may be a fault in the lubricating system. Have the system checked and serviced immediately to locate and correct cause. DO NOT operate vehicle until problem has been corrected.
CHARGE INDICATOR LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and should go out shortly after engine is started to indicate that alternator is operating properly. If light remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates possible fault in the electrical charging system. Have the system checked and serviced promptly. DO NOT continue driving if alternator belt is loose or broken.
4WD INDICATOR LIGHT (4WD VEHICLES)
The 4WD light and the 4 wheels of the four-wheel drive indicator come on when the 4WD mode is engaged by setting the selector switch in 4WD position. Light goes out when vehicle is operated in FWD mode.
CHECK ECVT WARNING LIGHT (4WD) (IF EQUIPPED)
Light should come on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out after engine is started to indicate that system is functioning properly. If light remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates possible fault in the ECVT system. Have the system checked and serviced as soon as possible.
CLUTCH TEMP WARNING LIGHT (4WD) (IF EQUIPPED)
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started to indicate that system is operating properly. If light remains on or comes on while driving, have the system checked and serviced as necessary for possible fault in the ECVT system. If light flashes and warning buzzer sounds while driving, it indicates that the electromagnetic clutch is overheated. Avoid continuous driving at low speed or in stop-and-go traffic when light comes on. If necessary, stop vehicle and place transmission in "N" or "P" position. Leave engine running until light goes out. Normal operation may be resumed after light has gone out.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position as a bulb check and goes out after engine is started. Light will also come on with the parking brake fully or partially engaged. If light does not come on as designed or comes on at any other time, then the bulb may be burned out, the parking brake switch may be damaged or the brake fluid level in the reservoir may be low. Vehicle braking system is equipped with dual hydraulic circuit to provide backup should a leak occur in either half of the system. If light comes on while driving, check brake fluid level and have the system checked and serviced. DO NOT continue driving if fluid level is well below the MIN mark on reservoir.
UPSHIFT INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light serves as a gearshift guide on manual transmission vehicles for better fuel economy by illuminating when it is time to shift into the next higher gear.
CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on with the ignition switch in the ON position and goes out after engine is started to indicate that system is operating properly. If it remains on or comes on while driving, it indicate possible fault in the electronic engine control system. Have the system checked and serviced to correct problem as soon as possible.
