- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Remove the intake manifold. < Ref. to «REMOVAL»(ref-662119-S34762705842014101300000), Intake Manifold. >
- Remove the clip (A) on the generator cord, and remove the fuel pipe protector.
- Remove the fuel pump insulator.

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Open the fuel filler lid and remove the fuel filler cap.
- Remove the intake manifold. < Ref. to «REMOVAL»(ref-662119-S34762705842014101300000), Intake Manifold. >
- Disconnect the connector (A) from the EGR control valve.
- Remove the bolts (B) securing the EGR cooler to the EGR control valve.
- Remove the preheater hose (C) from the EGR control valve.
- Remove the EGR control valve.
- Disconnect the connector (A) on the fuel pressure sensor, and remove the fuel pipe insulator No. 3.
Throttle body is a non-disassembled part, so do not remove the throttle position sensor from throttle body. Refer to "Throttle Body" for removal and installation procedure. < Ref. to REMOVAL, Throttle Body. > < Ref. to INSTALLATION, Throttle Body. >

- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Disconnect the connector (A) from the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor, and remove the mass air flow and intake air temperature sensor.
SI-DRIVE (SUBARU Intelligent Drive) selector is integrated as a unit with the cruise control command switch. - Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- While pressing the section (A) shown in the figure, move the lock lever (B) in the direction of the arrow to disconnect the connectors from the ECM in numerical order as shown in the figure.
- Remove the bolt, nut, and clip (A), and remove the ECM.
- Remove the ECM from the bracket.
- Remove clip (A) and connector (B), and remove the ECM bracket.
