Checking/Clearing Diagnostic Codes

  1. Checking diagnostic codes (read from the SSM3) With IG OFF, connect SSM3 to DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. According to the screen of SSM3, select [Each System Check] -->[Air Condition System] -->[Diagnostic Code(s) Display]. Check the diagnostic codes.
  2. Clearing diagnostic code records (Cleared by the SSM3) With IG OFF, connect SSM3 to DLC3. Turn the ignition switch to ON. According to the screen of SSM3, select [Each System Check] -->[Air Condition System] -->[Clear Memory]. Select [Deletion] on the screen to clear the data.

  1. Check with panel diagnosis (indicator check) Turn the ignition switch to OFF. While pressing AUTO and FRESH/RECIRC switch at the same time, turn IG ON from OFF. Hold both switches until the panel diagnosis mode appears. Confirm that all indicators and setting displays repeat ON and OFF 4 times at intervals of 1 second. NOTE: After the end of the indicator check, sensor check is automatically performed. To end the panel diagnosis, press the "OFF" switch.
  2. Check with panel diagnosis (sensor check) Perform the indicator check. NOTE: After the end of the indicator check, sensor check is automatically performed. Confirm the sensor check result displayed at the temperature display. RESULT Check result Code display Current malfunction Blink NOTE: The illustration shows output of code "21". If there are 2 or more error codes, they are displayed in the order of smaller code number. If there are 2 or more error codes and it is difficult to read them, press the "A/C" switch to fix the code (step operation) for reading. NOTE: Items can be displayed in phase each time the "A/C" switch is pressed. If an error code is output, find the code from the list of diagnostic codes. (Refer to «LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES»(ref-619182-S03718886672014053000000) ) To end the panel diagnosis, press the "OFF" switch.
  3. Check with panel diagnosis (actuator check) Start the engine and warm up completely. Perform the indicator check. After indicator check -->sensor check, press the "DEF" switch to perform the actuator check. NOTE: Be sure to perform the actuator check with the engine started. Actuator check (continuous) is repeated in the order of steps 0 -->8 at intervals of 1 second. Check the temperature and air flow with eyes and hand. NOTE: The step number is displayed at the driver's seat side setting temperature display. If it is difficult to perform inspection due to the steps changing, press the "A/C" switch to fix the step (step operation) for inspection. The steps change each time the "A/C" switch is pressed. To end the panel diagnosis, press the "OFF" switch. NOTE: When the "AUTO" switch is pressed, the sensor check mode appears.
