1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY - Step 2»(ref-388777-S27845739042011031100000) .
2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY - Step 3»(ref-388777-S27845739042011031100000) .
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY - Step 5»(ref-388777-S27845739042011031100000) .
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «DISASSEMBLY - Step 6»(ref-388777-S27845739042011031100000) .
5. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY Disconnect the connector. Remove the 3 screws. Remove the outer rear view mirror assembly.

1. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH Check the operation. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 (MV) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (M+), then check that the mirror turns upward. OK Turns upward If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 (M+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (MV), then check that the mirror turns downward. OK Turns downward If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 (MH) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (M+), then check that the mirror turns left. OK Turns left If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 (M+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3 (MH) , then check that the mirror turns right. OK Turns right If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror.
2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH Check the operation. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 (MV) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5(M+), then check that the mirror turns upward. OK Turns upward If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 (M+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 4 (MV), then check that the mirror turns downward. OK Turns downward If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 3 (MH) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5 (M+), then check that the mirror turns left. OK Turns left If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 (M+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 3 (MH), then check that the mirror turns right. OK Turns right If the result is not as specified, replace the outer rear view mirror.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY Install the outer rear view mirror assembly. Install the 3 screws. Torque: 9.0 N*m ( 92 kgf*cm, 80 ft.*lbf) Connect the connector.
2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «REASSEMBLY - Step 24»(ref-388777-S16864414372011031100000) .
3. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «REASSEMBLY - Step 25»(ref-388777-S16864414372011031100000) .
4. INSTALL FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «REASSEMBLY - Step 27»(ref-388777-S16864414372011031100000) .
5. INSTALL FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to «REASSEMBLY - Step 28»(ref-388777-S16864414372011031100000) .

1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR GLASS Apply protective tape to the bottom of the visor of the door mirror. Push the upper part of the mirror surface and tilt it. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 claws and 2 hooks.

1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR GLASS Engage the 2 hooks on the upper part of the outer mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror. Engage the 4 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror glass to the outer rear view mirror. Remove the protective tape.

1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR GLASS See step 1 under OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS removal.
2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER Disengage the 7 claws and remove the outer mirror cover from the outer rear view mirror assembly.

1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR COVER Engage the 7 claws to install the outer mirror cover onto the outer rear view mirror assembly.
2. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR GLASS See step 1 under OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS installation.

1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX . Refer to «REMOVAL - Step 30»(ref-388757-S39306545862011031100000)
2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH Disconnect the connector. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the outer mirror switch.

1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH The L position of the left/right adjustment switch: Measure the resistance of the outer mirror switch. Standard resistance (for left side) Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 4 (VL) - 8 (B) 6 (M+) - 7 (E) UP Below 1 ohms OFF 10 kohms or higher 4 (VL) - 7 (E) 6 (M+) - 8 (B) DOWN Below 1 ohms OFF 10 kohms or higher 5 (HL) - 8 (B) 6 (M+) - 7 (E) LEFT Below 1 ohms OFF 10 kohms or higher 5 (HL) - 7 (E) 6 (M+) - 8 (B) RIGHT Below 1 ohms OFF 10 kohms or higher If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror switch. The R position of the left/right adjustment switch: Measure the resistance of the outer mirror switch. 1. INSTALL OUTER MIRROR SWITCH Engage the 2 claws and install the outer mirror switch. Connect the connector.
