- REMOVE BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOLDING Using a knife, cut off the back window outside molding, as shown in the illustration. NOTE: Do not damage the vehicle body with the knife. Remove the back window outside molding. HINT: Make a partial cut in the back window outside molding. Then pull and remove it by hand.
- REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS Disconnect the 2 back door defogger connectors. Apply protective tape to the outer edge of the back door glass, as shown in the illustration. From the interior, insert piano wires between the vehicle body and back door glass, as shown in the illustration. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to all wire ends. NOTE: When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, do not damage the vehicle's paint or exterior/interior ornaments. Cut through the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass. Place matchmarks on the back door glass and vehicle body on the locations indicated in the illustration. HINT: Matchmarks do not need to be placed if the back door glass is not going to be reused. Disengage the 2 clips. Using suction cups, remove the back door glass. NOTE: Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the back door glass.
