REPLACEMENT

HINT

1. The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
2. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
3. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
4. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see «SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS»(ref-224514-S12626840192006031000000) ).

1. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER LH Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat track cover. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK OUTER COVER LH Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the seat track cover. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSY LH Remove the 4 bolts. Disconnect the connectors. CAUTION: Work must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery. (The SRS is equipped with a back-up power source. If work is started within 90 seconds of turning the ignition switch OFF and disconnecting the negative (-) terminal cable of the battery, the SRS may deploy.) Remove the seat. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSY
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Disconnect the wire harness of the inner belt from the seat adjuster. Remove the bolt and inner belt.
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH Remove the clip and screw. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the seat cushion shield. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
7. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the release handle. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH Remove the 2 screws. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat cushion shield. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
9. w/ Seat hook: REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HOOK Remove the screw and seatback hook.
10. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSY LH Remove the hog rings. Lift up the seatback cover and remove the hog rings. Disconnect the clamps. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT Lift up the seatback cover to the top, and then disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.
12. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSY w/Side airbag: Using a screwdriver, pry out the hanger (Scheme 13) NOTE: Take care not to damage the airbag. Remove the hog rings and seatback spring.
13. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER LH Remove the hog rings and remove the seatback cover.
14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH Remove the hog rings. Disengage the claw of the front part of the seat adjuster. Disengage the hook and remove the seat cushion cover (with pad). Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover.
15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH Remove the screw and adjuster inside cover.
16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH Remove the screw and adjuster inside cover.
17. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIR BAG SENSOR (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224560-S08337201092006031000000) )
18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER LH Install the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion pad with new hog rings. Install the seat cushion cover (with pad) to the seat adjuster. NOTE: Do not damage or contaminate the seat cushion cover. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.
19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK COVER LH Install the seatback cover to the seatback pad with new hog rings. Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the front seatback frame. NOTE: Do not damage or contaminate the seatback cover. When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible. Install the 2 headrest supports.
20. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK ASSY LH Install the seatback with the 4 bolts. Torque: 43 N.m (440 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf) Install new hog rings to the backside of the seatback. Install the headrest.
21. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Torque: 41 N.m (418 kgf.cm, 30 ft.lbf)
22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSY LH Put the seat on the cabin. NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body. Connect the connectors. Install the 4 bolts. Torque: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf) Install the inner and outer seat track covers.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION W/COVER PAD SUB-ASSY Pull up the 2 front portions of the seat cushion, then remove it. NOTE: Be careful as the cushion frame deforms easily. To avoid deforming the seat cushion, place your hands on both sides of the hooks and then pull up on the seat cushion. Do the same for the other hook.
2. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH Tilt down the seatback toward the front of the vehicle. Turn up the seatback cover (Scheme 22) Remove the 2 bolts and seatback.
3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY RH HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
4. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER LH Remove the 2 bolts and seatback lock striker.
5. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER RH Remove the nut, 2 bolts and seatback lock striker.
6. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSY LH Remove the bolt and seatback hinge.
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSY RH Remove the bolt and seatback hinge.
8. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSY Remove the 4 bolts and anchor bracket.
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY Remove the headrests.
10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK RELEASE BUTTON
11. Only RH side: REMOVE REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT COVER Using a screwdriver, pry out the shoulder belt cover. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
12. REMOVE TETHER ANCHOR COVER Using a screwdriver, pry out the 3 tether anchor covers. HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
13. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT Using a clip remover, remove the 17 clips. NOTE: If clips are damaged during removal, replace them. Remove the hog rings. Disengage the claws and remove the seat headrest support. HINT: In order to disengage the claw of the headrest support, insert your hand between the seatback frame and the seatback cover (with pad).
14. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK STOP BUTTON GROMMET Disengage the claws and remove the seatback stop button grommet. HINT: In order to disengage the claw of the headrest support, insert your hand between the seatback frame and the seatback cover (with pad).
15. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER W/PAD LH Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the rear seatback frame.
16. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK COVER W/PAD RH Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the rear seatback frame.
17. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK ASSY LH Remove the 2 bolts and seatback lock.
18. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK ASSY RH Remove the 2 bolts and seatback lock.
19. REMOVE REAR SEAT BELT ASSY OUTER CENTER Remove the nut and seat belt.
20. INSTALL REAR SEAT BELT ASSY OUTER CENTER Install the seat belt with the nut. Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
21. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER W/PAD LH Install the seatback cover (with pad) to the seatback frame. NOTE: Do not damage or contaminate the seatback cover (with pad).
22. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK COVER W/PAD RH HINT: Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
23. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT ANCHOR BRACKET SUB-ASSY Install the anchor bracket with the 4 bolts. Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
24. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSY LH Install the seatback hinge with the bolt. Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
25. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK HINGE SUB-ASSY RH Install the seatback hinge with the bolt. Torque: 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
26. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER LH Install the seatback lock striker with the 2 bolts. Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
27. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER RH Install the seatback lock striker with the 2 bolts and nut. Torque: 21 N.m (214 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf)
28. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH Install the seatback with the 2 bolts. Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
29. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSY RH Install the seatback with the 2 bolts. Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
