INSTALLATION [01/2014 - ]
- INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts. Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) Connect the starter connector. Connect the starter wire with the nut. Torque: 9.8 N*m (100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf) Close the terminal cap.
- INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER Install the battery carrier with the 4 bolts. Torque: 19 N*m (189 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)
- INSTALL BATTERY TRAY
- INSTALL BATTERY
- INSTALL BATTERY INSULATOR
- INSTALL BATTERY CLAMP Attach the hook of the battery clamp to the front battery bracket. Partially tighten the nut and temporarily install the bolt. Adjust the battery clamp position. Tighten the nut and bolt. for bolt Torque: 17 N*m (168 kgf*cm, 12 ft.*lbf) for nut Torque: 3.5 N*m (36 kgf*cm, 31 in.*lbf) TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION *1 Bolt *2 Nut
- CONNECT CABLE TO POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to «INITIALIZATION [01/2014 - ]»(ref-615109-S31931454042014050900000) .

- REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to «REMOVAL [05/2013 - 01/2014] - Step 5»(ref-615283-S34339847082014050900000)
- REMOVE ENGINE SWITCH Detach the 5 claws. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 1 switch hole base. Detach the 2 claws and remove the engine switch.

- INSTALL ENGINE SWITCH Attach the 2 claws to install the engine switch. Connect the connector. Attach the 5 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.

- REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY Disconnect the ignition switch connector. for Automatic Transaxle: Detach the clamp and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness connector from the ignition switch connector. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
