REPLACEMENT

HINT

1. The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
2. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
3. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
4. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (See «SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS»(ref-224752-S14773050932006031100000) ).

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) )
3. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSY LH (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) )
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224797-S17527791092006031100000) )
5. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSY LH (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) )
6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224797-S17527791092006031100000) )
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH CAUTION: Removal of the seat belt pretensioner must be started at least 90 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF and after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal. Carefully read the notices for the pretensioner in the SRS section and the front seat outer belt section (See «SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM»(ref-224786-S11593879692006031100000) ). To disconnect the pretensioner connector: 1) pull out the lock part of the connector as indicated by the black arrow in (Scheme 7), and 2) remove the connector. Remove the 3 bolts and outer belt.
8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Remove the front seat LH (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S36693401512006031100000) ). Disconnect the 3 connectors and then detach the 5 claws. Remove the nut and inner belt.
9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Install the inner belt with the nut. Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor. Before installing the ELR, check the ELR. When the inclination of the retractor is 15ohm or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over 45°, check that the belt locks. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy. Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts. Torque: 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf) for bolt A 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for bolt B Install the floor anchor with the bolt (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224797-S17527791092006031100000) ). Connect the pretensioner connector (Scheme 11) After installing the ELR, check the ELR. NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system. NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy.
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (See «INITIALIZATION»(ref-224750-S01740283982006031100000) )
13. CHECK SRS WARNING LAMP (See «SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM»(ref-224786-S11593879692006031100000) )

8. REMOVE ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSY INNER LH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224797-S17527791092006031100000) )
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH Remove the 3 bolts and outer belt.
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Remove the bolt and inner belt.
11. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY CENTER Remove the bolt and outer belt center. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt guide center (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) ). Remove the rear seatback board RH (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) ). Remove the rear seat shoulder belt cover RH (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) ). Remove the 4 nuts and outer belt center (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224793-S13116922602006031100000) ).
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH Remove the bolt and inner belt.
13. REMOVE CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hooks. Remove the deck board No.1 (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224797-S17527791092006031100000) ). Remove the 2 clips and rear floor board No. 1. Remove the 3 bolts and 3 anchor brackets.
14. INSTALL CHILD RESTRAINT SEAT TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET Install the 3 anchor brackets with the 3 bolts. Torque: 19.6 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
15. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSY RH Install the inner belt with the bolt (Scheme 12) Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the inner belt and the protruding part of the floor panel.
16. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY CENTER Before installing the ELR, check the ELR. NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is 15ohm or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over45°, check that the belt locks. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy. Install the outer belt with the bolt. Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the outer belt and the protruding part of the inner belt RH. After installing the ELR, check the ELR. NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed. With the belt installed, check that the belt locks when it is pulled out quickly. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy. Check the fastening function of the child restraint system. NOTE: The check should be performed with the outer belt installed. When the belt is pulled out fully, the belt should automatically try to retract. After the belt has fully retracted, the belt should be able to be pulled out and retracted again. 17. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH Install the inner belt with the bolt (Scheme 15) Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) NOTE: Do not overlap the anchor part of the inert belt and the protruding part of the floor panel.
18. INSTALL REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSY LH Before installing the ELR, check the ELR. NOTE: Do not disassemble the retractor. Check the amount of inclination required to lock the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is 15ohm or less, check that the belt can be pulled from the retractor. When the inclination of the retractor is over45°, check that the belt locks. If operation is not as specified, replace the seat belt assy. Install the outer belt with the 3 bolts.
