  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH
  3. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH Disengage the clamp and disconnect the connector. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the speed sensor front from the body. Remove the bolt and speed sensor front. NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
  4. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH Install the speed sensor front with the bolt. Torque: 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip. Install the speed sensor front with the 2 bolts. Torque: Bolt A: 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) Bolt B: 29 N.m (296 kgf.cm, 21 ft.lbf) Connect the connector and engage the clamp.
  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH
  6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
  7. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See «DTC CHECK/CLEAR»(ref-224755-S01853767152006031100000) )

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
  2. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224777-S16651955412006031100000) )
  3. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSY LH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224777-S16651955412006031100000) )
  4. REMOVE REAR DISC (See «OVERHAUL»(ref-224778-S24188500742006031100000) )
  5. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB & BEARING ASSY LH (See «REPLACEMENT»(ref-224777-S16651955412006031100000) )
  6. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR Install the 4 hub nuts to the 4 rear axle hub bolts. Placing an aluminum plate below the rear axle hub & bearing assy, place them into a vise. NOTE: Replace the rear axle hub & bearing assy if it is dropped or receives a strong shock. Remove the 2 pins from the SST (09520-00031) and separate the attachment (09521-00010) using a pin punch (3 mm) or hammer. Remove the skid control sensor from the rear axle hub & bearing assy using the SST and 2 bolts (90101-12007). SST 09520-00031 (09520-00040), 09521-00020, 09950-00020 NOTE: Pull the skid control sensor off straight, being careful not to make contact with the skid control sensor rotor. If the speed sensor rotor is damaged or deformed, replace the rear axle hub & bearing assy. Do not scratch the area where the skid control sensor contacts the rear axle hub & bearing assy. Do not attach foreign matter to the speed sensor rotor.
  7. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR Wipe off sealant attached to the skid control sensor's fitting surface with white gasoline. NOTE: Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor rotor. Install a new skid control sensor to the rear axle hub & bearing assy. The skid control sensor connector should be placed in the lowest position. HINT: The rear axle hub & bearing assy should be placed with the narrow side facing the lower side. Press the skid control sensor so that it becomes flat with the rear axle hub & bearing using the SST and a press. SST 09214-76011 NOTE: Do not use a hammer on the skid control sensor. Check that there is no foreign matter such as iron chips on the skid control sensor's detecting portion. Slowly press the skid control sensor in straight.

  12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)

Note. When disconnecting the battery terminal, initialize the following system after the terminal is reconnected.

  12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR Remove the 2 nuts and parking brake cable heat insulator.
  13. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.1 Disconnect the parking brake cable assy No.1 from the parking brake equalizer. Turn back the floor carpet, and remove the 2 bolts and parking brake cable assy No.1.
  14. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.1 Install the 2 bolts and parking brake cable assy No.1. Torque: 12.5 N.m (128 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) Install the floor carpet. Connect the parking brake cable assy No.1 to the parking brake equalizer and install the parking brake cable assy No.1.
  15. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE HEAT INSULATOR Install the 2 nuts and parking brake cable heat insulator. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf

  12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3 Remove the 4 bolts and cable retainer from the body. Disconnect the parking brake cable assy No.3 from the parking brake equalizer, and remove the parking brake cable assy No.3.
  13. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.3 Connect the parking brake cable assy No.3 to the parking brake equalizer. Install the parking brake cable assy No.3 with the 4 bolts. Torque: 6.0 N.m (61 kgf.cm, 53 in.lbf (bolt A) 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf (bolt B)
  14. INSTALL FUEL TANK PROTECTOR NO.1 Install the fuel tank protector No.1 with the 5 bolts. Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf
