  1. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
  2. REMOVE FLOOR PANEL BRACE FRONT (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224769-S00988693982006031100000) )
  3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSY CENTER (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224766-S14470383222006031100000) )
  4. REMOVE FUEL TANK PROTECTOR NO.1 (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224766-S14470383222006031100000) )
  5. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION BRACE LOWER RH (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224766-S14470383222006031100000) )
  6. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSY Disconnect the leak detection pump connector. Disconnect the fuel emission hose and clamp. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose. Pinch the retainer and pull out the fuel tank vent connector with the fuel tank vent connector pushed to the pipe side to disconnect the fuel tank vent hose from the charcoal canister. NOTE: Remove dirt or foreign objects on the fuel tank vent connector before this work. Do not allow any scratches or foreign objects on the parts when disconnecting as the fuel tank vent connector has the O-ring that seals the pipe. Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools. Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the nylon tube. Protect the connected part by covering it with a vinyl bag after disconnecting the fuel tank vent hose. If the fuel tank vent connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull them to release. Disconnect the fuel tank vent hose. Pinch the tab of the retainer of the fuel tube connector to remove the lock claws and slide it as shown in the illustration. Pull the fuel tank vent hose out of the charcoal canister. NOTE: Remove any dirt or foreign objects on the fuel tube connector before performing this work. Do not allow ant scratches or foreign objects on the parts when disconnecting as the fuel tube connector has the O-ring that seals the pipe. Perform this work by hand. Do not use any tools. Do not forcibly bend, twist or turn the nylon tube. Protect the disconnected part by covering it with a vinyl bag after disconnecting the fuel tank vent hose. If the fuel tube connector and pipe are stuck, push and pull to release them. Using a clip remove, remove the clip. HINT: The clip is for placing the part temporarily when working at a workshop. There is no need of installing the clip when reassembling. Remove the 2 bolts and charcoal canister.
  7. INSTALL CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSY Temporarily hook the claw of the charcoal canister bracket around the fuel tank hoses, and install the charcoal canister with the 2 bolts. Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) Install the fuel vent hose. Align the fuel tube connector with the pipe, then push in the fuel tube connector until the contacts the seat to contact the fuel tank vent hose to the pipe, then push up the retainer to the claws lock. NOTE: Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects around the connected part of the fuel tube connector and pipe before performing this work. After connecting the fuel tank vent hose, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling the fuel tube connector and pipe. Connect the fuel tank vent hose. Align the fuel tank vent connector with the pipe, then push in the fuel tank vent connector until the retainer makes a "click" sound to connect the fuel tank vent hose to the charcoal canister. NOTE: Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects around the connected part of the fuel tank vent connector and pipe before this work. After connecting the fuel tank vent hose, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling the quick connector. Install the fuel emission hose and clamp. Install the leak detection pump connector.
  8. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION BRACE LOWER RH (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224766-S14470383222006031100000) )
  9. INSTALL FUEL TANK PROTECTOR NO.1 (See «REMOVAL & INSTALLATION AND DISASSEMBLY & REASSEMBLY»(ref-224766-S14470383222006031100000) )
