FLOOR JACK

CAUTIONWhen jacking under front crossmember, place a protective pad between jack and vehicle to avoid damaging electroplated protective coating on crossmember.

Floor jack may be used at locations shown in illustrations to raise vehicle. (Scheme 7) Floor jack lifting points are located at center of front crossmember (inboard) and center of rear axle.

EMERGENCY JACKING

Scissor jack receptacles are located at body sills. DO NOT use floor jack at scissor jack locations, or body damage may occur. Ensure scissor jack flange engages body sill receptacle and locator pin. Always block opposite wheels, and jack vehicle on level surface.

HOIST

Note. Always follow hoist manufacturer's instructions. DO NOT allow hoist or adapters to contact suspension, exhaust or steering components. Frame contact must be made. Use adapters if necessary.

CAUTIONIf removing rear axle, fuel tank, spare tire or liftgate using single-post hoist, anchor vehicle to hoist. Place jackstands under vehicle, or add weight on rear end of vehicle to prevent tipping when center of gravity shifts.

Frame Contact Hoist

Ensure frame contact hoist is equipped with proper adapters to support vehicle in correct locations. Vehicle can be raised on swiveling arm or drive-on hoist. If using swiveling arm hoist, position lifting pads evenly on subframe rails. Ensure hoist is equipped with proper adapters so vehicle will be supported at points marked. (Scheme 7)
