Fitting the weatherstrip in the steering wheel

- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove it.
- Remove the airbag module, two plugs and two screws.
- Lift out the module and unplug the cable connections.
- Clean the surface from grease and dirt. Use 93 160 920 Cleaner. Fit the weatherstrip even with the interior edge as illustrated. Press in the weatherstrip securely. NOTE: It is important that the weatherstrip sits tightly against the steering wheel cover so that air does not leak out.
- Plug in the cables to the airbag module.
- Fit the module and its two screws. Make sure the strip does not poke out of the edges. Fit the plugs in the screw holes.
- Start the engine and check that the airbag lamp does not indicate a fault. ? If the lamp indicates a fault, the airbag system performs a fault diagnosis.
- Check the signal function.
