Removing multi-function control unit
Note. The control unit is removed and, if necessary, replaced without reading, writing or coding the data with the PIWIS Tester. This procedure is not required at present.
Note. When removing the locking plate, take note of how many washers are used on each fastening screw. During installation make sure that the washers are fitted in the same way as they were before removal.

1. Unscrew the four fastening screws -1- from the locking plate in the steering wheel and remove along with the locking plate. (Scheme 101)

2. Use a screwdriver to carefully lever the multi-function control unit out of the steering wheel.

3. Release electric plug connection -A- and disconnect it from the multi-function control unit. (Scheme 103)
