MMI - introduction
The manual contains the diagnosis for the following system
PCM2 - Man Machine Interface (MMI).
Identification
The diagnosis software number and the part number for the PCM2 can be read out under this menu item.
- Connect and start the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588 and switch on the ignition.
- Select 'Cayenne' in the Vehicle type menu and confirm with the [>>] key
- Select 'PCM2' in the Control units menu and confirm with the [>>] key
- Select 'PCM2 MMI' in the Cayenne PCM2/CDR23 function selection menu and confirm with the [>>] key
- Select 'Identification' in the Cayenne PCM2 MMI function selection menu and confirm with the [>>] key.
- "Diagnosis software number; PCM2 part number." appears on the display

| 8006 | Internal fault in single CD drive | Can only be operated under certain conditions |
| 8007 | Ring break diagnosis line open circuit | Can only be operated under certain conditions |
| 8009 | MOST fault, optical/electrical | Failure |
| 800C | Fault during software update via single CD drive | Failure |
| 800D | Video input - no signal | Can only be operated under certain conditions |
