Removal & Installation

1. Disconnect battery ground and cover terminal or cable end.
2. Remove covering caps from current distributor. Unscrew B+ connections. (Scheme 2)
3. Press current distributor away from firewall and lower into passenger footwell.
4. Remove the two sealing labels and open current distributor by disengaging lock. see scheme 13 Cover will not be reused.
5. Mark each line going to current distributor before disconnecting. Disconnect each line and disconnect B+ lead. NOTE: Hex nuts cannot be reused. Replace nuts, service sticker, tie wraps and flange seal for current distributor/firewall.
6. To install, follow reverse order of removal. Tighten M6 nuts to 60 INCH lbs. (7 N.m). Tighten B+ lead nut to 121 INCH lbs. (15 N.m). Tighten M8 nuts holding current distributor to 121 INCH lbs. (15 N.m).
7. Put new flange seal into place. Install new BLUE post-service cover onto current distributor. Seal with new RED service stickers.
