Installing cable for locking hook
Installation Location
Scheme 263
1. Position cable for locking hook -1- with support on the body and screw down the fastening screws -3-. Tightening torque --> Tightening torque: 7.5 ftlb. see scheme 300
2. Engage cable for locking hook -1- to the cable holder -2-. see scheme 300

3. Position trim -2- and secure with the expansion rivets -1-. (Scheme 260)
Installation Location

1. Insert nipple in the driving mechanism -3-, adjust cable for locking hook -1- using the hexagon nut -2- so that it is without play. (Scheme 262)
Install trim panel for convertible top rest. Refer to 70 08 19 Removing and installing trim panel for convertible top rest - as of MY 2005 (Cabrio 2, Cabrio 2S, Cabrio 4) .
Remove motor for convertible-top compartment lid drive. > 617019 Removing and installing drive motor - section on "Removing"
Scheme 266
1. Unscrew the three fastening screws -7, 8- for the microswitch holder. see scheme 304
2. Lift the holder -B- out. see scheme 304
3. If necessary, replace microswitch complete with holder.
