Engine Cooling Fan: Removal & Installation Pontiac Vibe I

Removal

1. Disconnect the reservoir hose from the radiator.
2. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connector, located on drivers side of fan assembly. (Схема №1)
3. Disconnect 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps from the fan shroud.
4. Remove 2 fan shroud bolts.
5. Remove the fan shroud and motor assembly.
6. Remove the fan retaining nut.
7. Remove 2 radiator fan mount bolts.
8. Remove the radiator fan motor.

Installation

1. Position the radiator fan and the radiator fan motor to the shroud.
2. Install one radiator fan nut. Tighten the radiator fan nut to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-168296-S08154289512004110400000).
3. Install 2 radiator fan mount bolts. Tighten the radiator fan bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-168296-S08154289512004110400000).
4. Position the radiator fan and shroud assembly into the vehicle then install 2 fan shroud bolts. (Схема №1) Tighten the radiator fan shroud bolts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-168296-S08154289512004110400000).
5. Connect 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps to the fan shroud.
6. Connect the fan motor electrical connector.
7. Connect the reservoir hose to the radiator.

1. Remove the cover from fuse and relay block.
2. Remove the fan No. 1 relay or the engine main relay from fuse and relay block. (Схема №2)

1. Install the fan No. 1 relay or the engine main relay in fuse and relay block. (Схема №2)
2. Install the cover to fuse and relay block.
