Removing
WarningProtect the dashboard
Remove: the seals (1) of the bottom of the windscreen
Pass the awl [1354-C] through the bead of adhesive, from the inside towards the outside
Thread the cutting wire into the awl and pass it towards the inside (as "a")
Pass enough wire to the inside to be able to fix it to the tool [1354-AZ]
Position the wire as indicated (see figure(s))
NoteUse soapy water to make it easier to pass the cutting wire under the windscreen seal at the sides and at the top
Fix the end of the wire onto the fixing of the wiper bracket (at "b")
WarningWhen tensioning the cutting wire, ensure that the wire is placed under the windscreen correctly
Begin cutting the lower section of the windscreen
Transfer the winding device [1354-AZ] as indicated on the illustration, and continue the cutting
Transfer the winding device [1354-AZ] as indicated on the illustration, and continue the cutting
Transfer the winding device [1354-AZ] as indicated on the illustration, and continue the cutting
Move the winding device [1354-AZ] as indicated on the diagram and finish the cut
Remove the windscreen; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]
Refitting
Preparing the flange and windscreen
Protect the dashboard
Fit the electric cutter [FEIN-400E] with blade N°146
Level off the beads of adhesive on the windscreen and the flange
Touch up with anti-corrosion product
Degrease the flange and the windscreen with the product selected from the adhesive kit
Allow to dry for 10 mn
Apply the metal and glass primers selected from the adhesive set
Applying the adhesive
Fit the extruder gun with the mastic mixer assembly
Take the nozzle supplied in the glueing kit
Cut out the end of the nozzle to a diameter of 8,0 mm and a height of 12 mm
Apply the bead of adhesive
WarningNo more than 8 minutes must elapse between applying the mastic and positioning the glass (for the quick setting bonding mastics)
Position the windscreen, lifting the lower part towards the bonnet to avoid depositing adhesive on the fascia
Check the fits and clearances of the windscreen
Exert a constant pressure using the suction cups with wires [KIT2-VENT]
Allow to cure for 30 minutes before handling
Fit the arm/blade assemblies at the marks on the windscreen (dotted in graphics)
Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal
