Removing
Cover the tip of the awl with soapy water
Route the awl [1354-C] across the bead of adhesive, in the left lower corner, from the inside outwards
Thread the cutting wire [1354-E] into the awl [1354-C] and pass it towards the inside (approximately 50 cm)
From the exterior, pass the cutting wire [1354-E] around the screen, following the arrows
Securely attach the end of the cutting wire [1354-E] on the bonnet fixing (5)
From the inside, attach the end of the cutting wire [1354-E] on the winder device [1354-AZ]
WarningWhen tensioning the cutting wire [1354-E], make sure that the cutting wire is correctly positioned under the screen
Start cutting out as far as the centre of the windscreen
Move the tool [1354-AZ]
Continue to cut-out
Secure the tool [1354-BZ]
Move the tool [1354-BZ]; as soon as the wire is no longer being guided, move the tools [1354-AZ], [1354-BZ]
Move the tools [1354-AZ], [1354-BZ]
Observe the correct routing of the wire
Continue to cut-out

Remove: the windscreen; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]
Refitting
Re-used windscreen
Level off the beads of adhesive on the glass and on the flange, using the electric knife [FEIN-400E] fitted with the blade n° 146; do not eliminate the residues totally
NoteThe residue improves bonding of adhesive and sealing products
WarningDo not apply primer to the surface to be bonded and do not treat it with the cleaning solvent
New windscreen
Clean the bonding area around the edge of the glass with degreasing agent (index: J1) (see the corresponding operation)
Apply glass primer
Drying time: approx. 10 minutes
Windscreen aperture flange reworked
- Carry out the anti-corrosion and paint operations
- Clean the reworked area with the degreasing agent
- Drying time: approximately 10 minutes
Common operations
Secure the retaining shims (7) at "a" to support and position the screen when refitting it
Fit the windscreen; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]
Fit adhesive strips (6) (at "b") (markers for the final positioning of the rear screen)
Cut the tape
Fit the extruder gun with the mastic mixer assembly
Take the nozzle supplied in the glueing kit
"D" = 8 mm
"E" = 12 mm
Cut the nozzle in triangular section to obtain a bead of sealing adhesive "D" wide and "E" deep
Apply a bead of adhesive
- "A" = 15 mm from the edge of the windscreen (as "c")
- "B" = 10 mm from the edge of the windscreen (as "d")
- "C" = 20 mm from the edge of the windscreen (as "e")
Replace the windscreen surround seal
Check the fits and clearances of the windscreen
Position the shims at the points indicated on the lower flange
No more than 8 minutes must elapse between applying the mastic and positioning the glass (for the quick setting bonding mastics)
Position the glass opposite the boundary marks; using the double hinged suction cups [KIT1-VENT]
Check the fits and clearances of the windscreen
Exert a constant pressure using the suction cups with wires [KIT2-VENT]
Leave to dry depending on the bonding kit
Remove: remove the shims (7) holding the windscreen
Proceed in the reverse order to removal
Check the operation of the equipment
