Steering Angle Sensor
The steering angle sensor (1) is mounted directly on the steering shaft (6) at the lower end of the steering column assembly. It is connected to the steering shaft via a groove (4) and a suitable adapter (2). The outer part of the housing is secured against rotation by a guide (3) on the steering column assembly.

2.1.8 Steering Angle Sensor
The steering movements are determined via two gearwheels to which magnets are attached. The rotational movements of the magnets are detected via the physical properties of two crystals (AMR elements: Anisotrop Magneto Resistiv), which are mounted directly above the magnets.
