The NCDR 2011 navigation system visually conveys driving instructions on the CID or GID. In addition, announcements from navigation feedback are relayed to the driver via the loudspeakers at the front of the vehicle.
The NCDR 2011 is equipped with an integrated fan (1) for cooling the units.
The fan switches itself on in stages according to the temperature, in order to avoid critical temperatures occurring in the audio unit. If the temperature continues to increase, the rear loudspeaker, amplifier and the whole system are switched off in stages.
The NCDR 2011 does not require a special radio code. When the integrated audio unit, display and CD changer system is connected for the first time, the display and CD changer assume the internal code of the audio unit after activation via TECH 2 and by the immobiliser code. Every time the ignition is switched on, the code for the radio unit and the interconnected units is requested automatically. This request is repeated if an invalid code is entered. The relevant unit switches to antitheft protection mode if an invalid code is entered for the third time. The request procedure takes approx. 10 seconds. The internal code can only be reset with the immobiliser code on the car pass via TECH 2.
The menu points "Deactivate antitheft protection" and "Activate antitheft protection" are available for selection on TECH 2.
