Remove
Important. For the full load test, apply the handbrake and depress the footbrake. Because of the risk of overheating at full load, do not test for longer than 5 seconds. Pause to allow cooling down. Transmission fluid level must be correct
- 1. Remove lower engine compartment cover
- 2. Unscrew bolt "D" (1)
- 3. Attach KM-6329 (2) to connection "D"
- 4. Attach fluid pressure gauge • Attach KM-498-B (1) to KM-6329
- 5. Check fluid temperature • Connect TECH 2 – Remove front ashtray • Select menu item "Transmission fluid temperature"
Important. Fluid temperature must be between 50° and 80°C.

- 6. Check fluid pressure in selector lever position "D" • Start the engine • Shift selector lever to position "D" • Check fluid pressure when idling and under full load - air conditioning and lighting should be switched off – Idle value should be: 3.7 - 4.1 bar – Full load value should be 13.5 - 14.6 bar • if fluid pressure is outside the desired range, replace transmission • after the check, switch off the engine
- 7. Remove fluid pressure gauge • Detach KM-498-B from KM-6329
- 8. Detach KM-6329 from connection "D"
- 9. Fit bolt "D" (1) with new seal ring • Tighten bolt 10 Nm
- 10. Unscrew bolt "R" (1)
- 11. Attach KM-6329 (1) to connection "R"
- 12. Attach fluid pressure gauge • Attach KM-498-B (2) to KM-6329
- 13. Check fluid temperature • Select menu item "Transmission fluid temperature"

Check fluid pressure in selector lever position "R" • Start the engine • Shift selector lever to position "R" • Check fluid pressure when idling and under full load - air conditioning and lighting should be switched off – Idle value should be: 5.7 - 6.6 bar – Full load value should be 19.0 - 21.3 bar • if fluid pressure is outside the desired range, replace transmission • after the check, switch off the engine
- 15. Remove fluid pressure gauge • Detach KM-498-B from KM-6329
- 16. Detach KM-6329 from connection "R"
Install
- 17. Fit bolt "R" (1) with new seal ring • Tighten bolt 10 Nm
- 18. Attach lower engine compartment cover
- 19. Detach TECH 2 • Install front ashtray
