ABS Function Check
The entire ABS must be checked after operations, that affect the ABS assembly (e.g. accident repairs). The diagnosis is performed using TECH 1/TECH 1A (1) in conjunction with the corresponding program module (2) or using TECH 2 (3). The fault memory must be reset if necessary.
After all operations on the brake system in which components of ABS were not affected, it suffices to carry out a simple functional check. This means that after switching on the ignition, the ABS telltale in the instrument housing must go out after approx. 4 sec.
