Replace Starter Opel Signum I

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery.
  3. 3. Detach engine cover. • Unscrew 2x bolt • Unscrew oil filler cap • Remove engine cover • Screw in oil filler cap
  4. 4. Raise vehicle
  5. 5. Detach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if necessary
  1. 6. Disconnect starter electrically • Unscrew 2x nut (2)
  2. 7. Detach ground cable (3) • Remove bolt
  3. 8. Release wiring harness bracket • Release 2x nuts (1)
  4. 9. Lower vehicle
  5. 10. Unclip coolant compensation tank
  6. 11. Remove starter • Unscrew 2x bolt (arrows) • Remove bracket
  7. 12. Install starter • Insert bracket • 2x bolts 25 Nm
  8. 13. Clip in coolant compensation tank
  9. 14. Raise vehicle
  10. 15. Connect ground cable. • Bolt 25 Nm
  11. 16. Fasten wiring harness bracket • Tighten 2x nut
  12. 17. Connect starter electrically • Tighten 2x nut
  13. 18. Attach lower engine compartment cover and right-hand engine splash protection if removed
  14. 19. Lower vehicle
  15. 20. Attach engine cover. • Unscrew oil filler cap • Place engine cover in position • Screw in oil filler cap • 2x bolts 9 Nm
  16. 21. Connect battery.
  17. 22. Program volatile memories
  18. 23. Close bonnet
