Functional Description

Actuation of the Hydraulic Pump

The speed of the hydraulic pump is controlled in accordance with the speed of the steering wheel movement and the vehicle speed (calculated in the ECM).

Steering Angle Sensor

In vehicles without ESP, only the system's own steering angle sensor (inductive sensor in steering gear) is used. The option of receiving the steering angle sensor status via HSCAN bus is only used in conjunction with ABS/ESP.
