Steering Coupling, Replace
Remove
Remove steering gear (see corresponding operation).
Loosen fastening bolts of steering coupling.
Clamp steering gear with steering coupling (1) pointing diagonally upwards.
Loosen fastening bolt of steering coupling two revolutions using MKM - 324, counterhold using multiple slip-joint gripping pliers.
Remove steering coupling.
Place Kukko Extractor 20 - 1 in position and loosen steering coupling.

Note:
On vehicles with power steering, remove steering column assembly instead of steering gear.
Install
Install new steering coupling.
Mount steering coupling on thread with steering gear in central position (marking line and clamp bolt hole - arrow horizontally above).
Tighten fastening bolt using MKM - 324 - torque 22 Nm (16 lbf. ft.).
