Performance Test

The performance test determines whether the temperature of outflowing air, low pressure and high pressure correspond to the specifications at a certain ambient temperature and engine speed.

  • Connect service station to high and low pressure service connection.

The following conditions must be noted:

  • Close windows and doors, carefully lower bonnet.
  • Start engine and switch on AC.
  • Set driver's and co�driver's pre�selected temperature to LO (max. cooling).
  • Maximum fan setting (9), recirculating air switch OFF.
  • All flaps 100% open
  • Allow engine to run for 15 minutes at idle speed.
  • After 15 minutes enter vehicle and after 5 minutes set engine speed to 1500 rpm.

Measure ambient temperature and temperature at ventilator nozzles with gauge TP�82 and compare with performance data (see Chapter 8.3).

Read low pressure and high pressure at service station and compare with performance data (see Chapter 8.3).

4-cyl. engine: spark plug connector (11) dipstick (12)

High Pressure Service Connection (2)

25DT engine: alternator (5) ribbed V-belt (6)

V6 engine: vacuum unit (9) radiator (10)

4-cyl. engine: tensioning roller (13) radiator (14)
