Remove
- 1. The graphics show the installation position of the side airbag sensor (arrow)
- 2. Disconnect battery
- 3. Observe waiting time for airbag deactivation, 1 min.
- 4. Remove front sill panelling (1) • Remove 2x footwell lights (2) – Undo 2 clips – Disconnect 2x wiring harness plugs (3) • Unclip 2x clips • Remove sill panelling from guide
- 5. Remove side airbag sensor • Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) • Release screws (2) • Remove sensor from guide
Install
- 6. Install side airbag sensor • Insert sensor in guide • Connect wiring harness plug • Tighten bolt 6 Nm
- 7. Install front sill panelling • Insert sill panelling in guide • Clip in 2x clips • Install 2x footwell lights – Connect 2x wiring harness plugs – Clip in 2x clips
- 8. Connect battery
- 9. Program volatile memories
