Intake Manifold - Pressure Sensor

Measurement:	Plot of voltage at the signal output of the intake manifold pressure sensor.
Check Objective:	Operational check

Preparation

Switch off the engine and ignition.

Connections

INPUT A	COM/TRIGGER
Connect the red measurement lead to pin B (2) of the plug connector for the intake manifold pressure sensor. Connect the ground lead to pin A (1).

Procedure

Start the engine and allow it to idle. Then depress the [REPEAT TEST] key and press the accelerator pedal quickly to the limit stop once and release it again.

Reference Curve

If the measured signal plot does not approximately correspond with the reference curve after repeated testing and the signal plot also has a stepped progression, replace the intake manifold pressure sensor.
