In the system main menu, press key F7. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.
Proceed with extreme care when the type of airbag system installed in the vehicle is requested. Selection is made using the arrow keys. Confirm with the ENTER key.
If an airbag system with one squib circuit (driver's airbag only) is installed in the vehicle, select DRIVER.
If an airbag system with two squib circuits (driver and co-driver airbags) is installed in the vehicle, select CO-DRIVER.

After selection of the airbag system, programming of the control unit begins, which lasts approx. 35 seconds.
If the display on the right appears after completion, programming was successful.After programming, switch the ignition off and on again once.To be on the safe side, read out the trouble codes again.Trouble code 51 should no longer be stored.

The selection (CO-DRIVER, two squib circuits installed in vehicle) was correct, but the control unit has registered a resistance greater than 5 W between Ter. 5 and 6 - eliminate fault according to trouble code table (trouble code 33) and then reprogram;
Trouble code 51 and other trouble codes, except 33 and 34:
There is a fault in the system that handicaps programming. Eliminate fault according to trouble code table or Data List and then reprogram.
