Model Year 2006
- ECOService is programmed in at the factory. The service must be performed in accordance with ECOService, 1 year / 30,000 km for petrol and diesel engines as per the Service Booklet.
- Petrol and diesel engines have an annual 30,000 km oil change.
- In Service we say:
- For vehicles from model year 2006, there is a new TECH 2 test. This is operation stage 5: "Vehicle system check using TECH 2". For details, please refer to the operation stage in the Service Plan.
- Although ECOService means fixed intervals, there are exceptions here too: diesel engines with DPF (Diesel Particle Filter) and the turbo-engines. In disadvantageous operating conditions, the instruction to change the engine oil may appear in the display sooner than after 1 year / 30,000 km. An additional engine oil change may be necessary for these engines if this date differs too much from the annual service.
- The engine oil grades GM-LL-A-025 for petrol engines and GM-LL-B-025 for diesel engines will continue to be used as they have optimum properties (fuel saving, wear protection etc.). The new engine oil grade Dexos2™ (available from MY 2010) can also be used without restriction.
- The restrictions for work items 20 and 29: "Annual service check (work item concerned) if the annual mileage exceeds 20,000 km" will no longer apply from Model Year 2010 with retroactive effect. A visual inspection of the brake system must be performed on each service. One wheel per drive axis must be removed for this.
- At the end of the Service Booklet there is a list of key words so that the customer can find particular topics more quickly.
- For Antara and Opel GT, Dexron VI is permitted for the power steering fluid (this is applicable retrospectively to older vehicles as well).
- On the Opel GT, a change of brake fluid DOT4+ is to be implemented with immediate effect (this is applicable retrospectively to older vehicles as well)
Model Year 2009
- Agila-B is supplied without Car Pass.
- The operating instructions for the Infotainment System are integrated into the Owner's Manual for the specific model for the Agila-B and Opel GT, all other models have separate instructions for the Infotainment System.
- All Owner's Manuals include the model-specific information on service and maintenance, including Service Plan.
- The Service and Warranty Booklet applies to all models and contains all service information, warranty conditions and mobile service. There is no separate mobile service booklet.

General Note:
The Opel Partner may not amend the Service Booklet on his own initiative, e.g. by adding the complete address to the "International Warranty Document" as this address can be misused (e.g. if the Service Booklet is lost).
