Remove
- 1. Disconnect battery negative lead (2) • Release nut
- 2. Disconnect battery positive lead • Release cover (1) from battery positive terminal • Release nut
- 3. Release coolant expansion tank from battery tray • Slide off, then move to one side
- 4. Remove battery from battery tray • Remove bracket (3) – Remove bolt
- 5. Disconnect 2x harness connector from engine control module (ECM) • Release 2x harness connector lock (1)
- 6. Release 2x engine harness from battery tray, then move to one side • Release 2x clip (1)
- 7. Remove battery tray and ECM from chassis and transmission mounting assembly • Remove 4x bolt (1)
- 8. Disconnect harness connector (1) from reverse lamp switch (2)
- 9. Remove reverse lamp switch with sealing washer from transmission • Remove O ring from reverse lamp switch
Install
- 10. Install new O ring to new reverse lamp switch (2) • Apply suitable lubricant to O ring, then slide on
- 11. Install reverse lamp switch with sealing washer to transmission • Secure reverse lamp switch to 23 Nm
- 12. Connect harness connector (1) to reverse lamp switch
- 13. Install battery tray and ECM to chassis and transmission mounting assembly • Install 4x bolt (1)
- 14. Secure 2x engine harness to battery tray • Secure 2x clip (1)
- 15. Connect 2x harness connector to ECM • Secure 2x harness connector lock (1)
- 16. Install battery to battery tray
- 17. Install bracket (3) • Install bolt
- 18. Secure coolant expansion tank to battery tray • Slide on
- 19. Connect battery positive lead • Secure nut 11 Nm • Secure cover (1) to battery positive terminal
- 20. Connect battery negative lead (2) • Secure nut 11 Nm
- 21. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”
