Note. The following tests assume that engine and battery are operating normally and are at normal operating temperature, battery is fully charged, there are no engine problems that would cause a no-start condition, and no DTCs are present.
Note. On 4.0L engines, to check or probe starter solenoid connections, intake manifold must be removed to access starter. See STARTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
