Removal and Installation

The driver seat control unit is part of the driver seat. Remove the driver seat, then the driver seat control unit. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".

CAUTIONWhen removing and installing, use shop cloths to protect parts from damage.

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the instrument driver lower panel. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-396292-S36643160102011050400000) ".
  3. Remove the lower knee protector.
  4. Remove the screw from the automatic drive positioner control unit (1).
  5. Remove automatic drive positioner control unit (1) from bracket and disconnect electrical connectors.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTIONClamp the harness in position.

Note. After installing the automatic drive positioner control unit, perform additional service when disconnecting battery negative terminal. Refer to " SPECIAL REPAIR REQUIREMENT ".

Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " for seat memory switch.

The door mirror remote control switch is part of the power window switch assembly. Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " for door mirror remote control switch.

Refer to " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " for accelerator pedal and " REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION " for brake pedal when removing pedal adjusting motors.
