Scheme 1: SERVICE INDICATOR & WARNING LIGHTS

ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE

Indicates engine coolant temperature. Gauge should register below the "HOT" range while driving.

OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT

If this light comes on while driving, oil pressure is low. If this occurs, stop vehicle immediately and check oil level. If oil level is okay and light remains on, have system serviced as soon as possible.

CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

Indicates that the battery is not charging properly. Check the alternator belt tension. If belt tension is okay, have the system serviced as soon as possible.

BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT

This light indicates that either the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low.

"SENSOR" WARNING LIGHT

If this light comes on while the engine is running, have the exhaust gas sensor serviced as soon as possible. This warning system does not operate after first maintenance has been performed.

HEADLIGHT MOTOR WARNING LIGHT

This light will come on when the headlights are opening or closing. If light comes on, or remains on, at any other time, have the headlight motor checked as soon as possible.

CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT

If this light comes on while the engine is running, there may be a problem with the engine components. Have vehicle serviced as soon as possible.
