DESCRIPTION
Pulsar NX headlight door assemblies are electrically operated, and can be opened or closed by headlight switch. System components consist of a fuse block, headlight switch, retract relay-up, retract relay-down, and headlamp motors.
OPERATION
The following table describes the basic operation of the headlight system.
| Lighting Switch | Retractor Switch | Headlight Switch | Headlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| Off To 1st | OFF | No Operation | OFF |
| 1st To 2nd | OFF | OPEN | ON |
| 2nd To 1st | OFF | Held To Open Position | OFF |
| 1st To OFF | OFF | CLOSED | OFF |
| PASSING | OFF | Opened & Closed After Headlights OFF | ON Until Headlight Motor Is Fully Open |
| OFF | ON | OPEN | OFF |
BASIC OPERATION
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [A-1]
This mode of operation occurs when the lighting switch is switched from 1ST to 2ND. Headlamp motor is operating headlamps to the open position.
Scheme 1
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [A-2]
This mode of operation occurs when the headlamp motor reaches fully open position..
Scheme 2
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [B]
This mode of operation occurs when the lighting switch is switched from 1ST to OFF. Headlamp motor is operating headlamps to the closed position.
Scheme 3
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [C-1]
This mode of operation occurs when the lighting switch is switched to PASSING. Headlamp motor is operating headlamps to the open position (moment the lighting switch is turned to PASSING position).
Scheme 4
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [C-2]
This mode of operation occurs after the lighting switch is released from the PASSING position. Headlamp motor is is operating headlamps to the open position.
Scheme 5
CIRCUIT MODE OF OPERATION [D]
This mode of operation occurs when the retractor switch is turned ON. Headlamp motor is operating headlamps to the open position.
