Pulsar NX SE uses a distributorless ignition system. This system uses a crankshaft angle sensor and 4 individual ignition coils, mounted on top of the spark plugs. Pulsar NX XE uses the Hitachi photoelectric ignition system. Distributor is equipped with crank angle sensor with a rotor plate and a wave forming circuit. Light Emitting Diodes (LED) and photoelectric diodes are built into the wave forming circuit.
