OPERATION PROCEDURE
- Connect both battery cables. NOTE: Supply power using jumper cables if battery is discharged.
- Use the Intelligent Key or mechanical key to turn the ignition switch to the "ACC" position. At this time, the steering lock will be released.
- Disconnect both battery cables. The steering lock will remain released and the steering wheel can be rotated.
- Perform the necessary repair operation.
- When the repair work is completed, return the ignition switch to the "LOCK" position before connecting the battery cables. (At this time, the steering lock mechanism will engage.)
- Perform a self-diagnosis check of all control units using CONSULT.

Removal
- Remove the power window/lock unlock switch assembly. Disconnect the harness connectors.
- Remove the pull handle escutcheon.
- Remove the pull handle cover and remove screw.
- Remove armrest. While pushing on the side of the armrest, pull up on the rear of the armrest releasing the lower fastening points. With the rear of the armrest pulled upward, pull the front of the armrest toward you and remove.
- Remove the screws behind armrest.
- Release clips and reposition front door finisher.
- Remove the pull handle/lock lever assembly.
- Disconnect lock cable and handle cable from door handle assembly. Refer to " «REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-519790-S33710169842012122900000) ".
- Remove the memory seat switch (if equipped). Disconnect the harness connector.
- Remove the door finisher.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Removal
- Remove the power window switch assembly. Disconnect the harness connector.
- Remove the pull handle cover. Remove the screw behind the pull handle cover.
- Remove the pull handle escutcheon.
- Lift upward to release clips and remove the armrest. Remove the screws behind armrest.
- Release the clips and remove the rear door finisher. Disconnect the rear door tweeter connector, then remove the rear door tweeter screws and remove the rear door tweeter.
- Remove pull handle/lock lever assembly. Disconnect lock lever cable and pull handle cable from lever assembly.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

| CAUTION | Wrap a cloth around a suitable tool when removing metal clips from finishers. When removing or installing body side welts, do not allow butyl seal to come in contact with pillar finisher. |
