ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Indicates engine coolant temperature. Gauge should register below the HOT range while driving.
OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
Indicates engine oil pressure. If gauge registers low or no oil pressure, stop the vehicle immediately and check the oil level. If oil level is satisfactory and light remains on, have the lubricating system serviced as soon as possible.
OIL PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while driving, oil pressure is low. If this occurs, stop vehicle immediately and check oil level. If oil level is okay and light remains on, have system serviced as soon as possible.
VOLTMETER
Indicates battery voltage. If gauge falls below normal range and remains there while engine is running, check the alternator belt. If the belt tension is okay, have the electrical system serviced as soon as possible.
CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while the engine is running, there may be a problem with the engine components. Have vehicle serviced as soon as possible.
CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
Indicates that the battery is not charging properly. Check the alternator belt tension. If belt tension is okay, have the system serviced as soon as possible.
BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
This light indicates that either the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low.
SENSOR WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while the engine is running, have the exhaust gas sensor serviced as soon as possible. This warning system does not operate after the first maintenance has been performed.
HEADLIGHT/TAILLIGHT/STOPLIGHT MONITOR LIGHTS
If one of these lights should come on and remain on while driving, check the respective light for a burned out bulb.
FUEL FILTER WARNING LIGHT (DIESEL ENGINES)
If this light comes on during operation, the fuel filter needs to be drained of water as soon as possible.
COOLANT LEVEL WARNING LIGHT
If this light comes on while driving, the engine temperature overheating. Stop vehicle immediately and let engine cool. Check coolant level only after engine has cooled.
LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT
This light indicates the fuel tank is almost empty. Refuel at the nearest gas station.
DOOR OPEN WARNING LIGHT
This light comes on when any of the doors are not closed securely while the ignition key is ON.
SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT
This light reminds you to fasten seat belts. The light flashes ON and OFF for about 6 seconds whenever the ignition key is turned to ON.
LOW WASHER FLUID WARNING LIGHT
This light indicates that the washer tank fluid is at a low level.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
If the light comes on while the engine is running, it may indicate there is something wrong with the anti-lock portion of the brake system.
EMISSION SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
If this light comes on while the engine is running, it may indicate a potential emission control problem.
SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT
Light should come on briefly (about 7 seconds) with ignition switch in ON position as a system check and goes out shortly after. If light does not come on as designed or comes on at any other time it indicates a system malfunction and it should be checked and serviced as soon as possible.
