When a shift-down is performed, the engine speed does not smoothly return to the idling speed.

  1. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL Check A/T fluid level. Refer to «Checking A/T Fluid»(ref-233274-S06919956272006052500000) . OK or NG OK: GO TO 2 . NG: Refill ATF.
  2. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to «SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT MODE»(ref-233274-S42044375352006052500000) . Do the self-diagnostic results indicate front brake solenoid valve, direct clutch solenoid valve, ATF pressure switch 1, ATF pressure switch 5, accelerator pedal position sensor, vehicle speed sensor A/T (revolution sensor) and vehicle speed sensor MTR? YES: Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to «DTC P1757 FRONT BRAKE SOLENOID VALVE»(ref-233274-S38102303532006052500000) , «DTC P1762 DIRECT CLUTCH SOLENOID VALVE»(ref-233274-S22770506872006052500000) , «DTC P1841 ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 1»(ref-233274-S16049476792006052500000) , «DTC P1845 ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 5»(ref-233274-S05606013822006052500000) , «DTC P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR»(ref-233274-S21672204952006052500000) , «DTC P0720 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR A/T (REVOLUTION SENSOR)»(ref-233274-S36759132952006052500000) and «DTC P1721 VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR MTR»(ref-233274-S41769011372006052500000) . NO: GO TO 3 .
  3. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION Remove oil pan. Refer to «CONTROL VALVE WITH TCM AND A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2»(ref-233274-S13492895772006052500000) . Check A/T fluid condition. Refer to «Fluid Condition Check»(ref-233274-S10454868672006052500000) . OK or NG OK: GO TO 4 . NG: GO TO 7 .
  4. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to «SYMPTOM CHART»(ref-233274-S38438405912006052500000) (Symptom No. 65). OK or NG OK: GO TO 5 . NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
  5. CHECK SYMPTOM Check again. Refer to «CRUISE TEST - PART 1»(ref-233274-S00985795812006052500000) . OK or NG OK: INSPECTION END NG: GO TO 6 .
  6. PERFORM TCM INSPECTION Perform TCM input/output signals inspection. Refer to «TCM Input/Output Signal Reference Values»(ref-233274-S24828932262006052500000) . If NG, recheck A/T assembly harness connector terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector. OK or NG OK: INSPECTION END NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
  7. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to «Symptom Chart»(ref-233274-S38438405912006052500000) (Symptom No. 65). OK or NG OK: GO TO 5 . NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
