CAN COMMUNICATION INSPECTION USING CONSULT-II

  1. Self-Diagnostic result check. Connect CONSULT-II to DLC, and select "BCM" on "SELECT SYSTEM" screen. Select "BCM Control Unit" on "SELECT WORK ITEM" screen, and select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS". Check display content in self-diagnostic results. If CONSULT-II displays ECM DTC U1000, go to next step and diagnose CAN COMM, CAN CIRC 1, CAN CIRC 2, CAN CIRC 3 and CAN CIRC 4. If CONSULT-II does not display ECM DTC U1000, no malfunction exists, testing is complete.
  2. Symptom check. Select "CAN Diagnosis Support Monitor" in data monitor. Select "START" and check display content. (Scheme 2) Print out monitor items and see «CAN SYSTEM»(ref-152300) article.
