OVERHAUL

Disassembly (Magnetic Switch)

Note. Disconnect the lead from the "M" terminal of the magnetic switch. (Scheme 7)

Disassembly (Stop & Snap Ring)

1. Apply a long socket wrench of an appropriate size to the stop ring and strike the wrench to drive out the stop ring toward the pinion gear side. (Scheme 8)
2. Remove the snap ring with snap ring pliers, then remove the stop ring and overrunning clutch. (Scheme 9)

Reassembly (Stop & Snap Ring)

Using a suitable pulling tool, pull the overrunning clutch stop ring over the snap ring. (Scheme 10)
