ENGINE IDENTIFICATION

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is stamped on a metal plate located at upper left corner of instrument panel, near windshield. The eighth character of VIN identifies engine, and tenth character identifies model year ("T" for 1996). Engine model code and serial number are stamped on right side of cylinder block, near front.
