ENGINE (4.0L SOHC) TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

The 4.0L SOHC engine consists of the following

  1. single overhead camshafts
  2. sequential multiport fuel injection (SFI)
  3. distributorless ignition system
  4. aluminum cylinder heads
  5. cast iron, 60-degree V cylinder block
  6. balance shaft (4x4 vehicles)
  7. jackshaft
  8. unique engine timing configuration

For quick identification, refer to the vehicle control information decal mounted under the hood.

  1. An engine identification label is attached to the engine. The label identifies the symbol code for determining parts usage.
