- A1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1715 (RD) FOR VOLTAGE Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250. Measure the voltage between the ignition switch C250-4, circuit 1715 (RD), harness side and ground. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? Yes : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to «IGNITION SWITCH»(ref-233041-S32831851252006052400000) . TEST the system for normal operation. No : GO to A2.
- A2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1715 (RD) FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND Disconnect: BJB fuse 34 (30A). Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C250-4, circuit 1715 (RD), harness side and ground, and between the ignition switch C250-4, circuit 1715 (RD), harness side and BJB fuse 34 (30A), circuit 1715 (RD), output side. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms between the ignition switch and ground, and less than 5 ohms between the ignition switch and the BJB? Yes : INSTALL a new BJB. REFER to «MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES»(ref-233027) . TEST the system for normal operation. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

- B1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1716 (GY/YE) FOR VOLTAGE Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) 2280b. Key in ACCESSORY position. Measure the voltage between the SJB C2280b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and ground. Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? Yes : GO to B3 . No : GO to B2.
- B2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1716 (GY/YE) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250. Measure the resistance between the SJB C2208b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and the ignition switch C250-6, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side; and between the SJB C2208b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and the ignition switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? Yes : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to «IGNITION SWITCH»(ref-233041-S32831851252006052400000) . TEST the system for normal operation. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- B3 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION Key in OFF position. Disconnect all the SJB connectors. Check for: corrosion pushed-out pins Connect all the SJB connectors and make sure they are seated correctly. Operate the system and verify the concern is still present. Is the concern still present? Yes : INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to «MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES»(ref-233027) . REPEAT the self-test. No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. TEST the system for normal operation.

- C1 CHECK CIRCUITS 1050 (LG/VT) AND 1716 (GY/YE) FOR VOLTAGE Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) 2280b. Key in ACCESSORY position. Measure the voltage between the SJB C2280b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and ground; and between the SJB C2280b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side and ground. Are the voltages greater than 10 volts? Yes : GO to C4 . No : GO to C2.
- C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1050 (LG/VT) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250. Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C250-1, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side, and the SJB C2208b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side; and between the SJB C2208b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side, and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and the ignition switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? Yes : GO to C3. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C3 CHECK CIRCUIT 1716 (GY/YE) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND Measure the resistance between the SJB C2208b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and the ignition switch C250-6, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side; and between the SJB C2208b-4, circuit 1716 (GY/YE), harness side and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and the ignition switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? Yes : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to «IGNITION SWITCH»(ref-233041-S32831851252006052400000) . TEST the system for normal operation. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C4 CHECK FOR CORRECT SJB OPERATION Key in OFF position. Disconnect all the SJB connectors. - D1 CHECK CIRCUITS 1050 (LG/VT) AND 1522 (DG) FOR VOLTAGE Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Smart Junction Box (SJB) C2280b. Key in ACCESSORY position. Measure the voltage between the SJB C2280b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side and ground; and between the SJB C2280b-30, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side and ground. Are the voltages greater than 10 volts? Yes : GO to D4 . No : GO to D2.
- D2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1522 (DG) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND Key in OFF position. Disconnect: Ignition Switch C250. Measure the resistance between the SJB C2208b-30, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side and the ignition switch C250-7, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side; and between the SJB C2208b-30, circuit 1522 (DG), harness side, and ground. Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the SJB and the ignition switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? Yes : GO to D3. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
- D3 CHECK CIRCUIT 1050 (LG/VT) FOR AN OPEN OR A SHORT TO GROUND Measure the resistance between the ignition switch C250-1, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side, and the SJB C2208b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side; and between the SJB C2208b-32, circuit 1050 (LG/VT), harness side, and ground. Are the resistances less than 5 ohms between the SJB and the ignition switch, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the SJB and ground? Yes : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to «IGNITION SWITCH»(ref-233041-S32831851252006052400000) . TEST the system for normal operation. No : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
