Cap remove from supply reservoir, install. When installing ensure that gasket is seated properly. Oil level check, add oil, if required. Do not overfill reservoir - observe mark. 1st version (A) (grey cast iron housing) Oil level mark stamped or cast on reservoir (arrow). Oil level at oil temperature of approx. 20°C: 6-8 mm below mark. approx. 80°C (operating temperature): up to mark. 2nd version (aluminum housing) Plastic sleeve with fill level indicator up to 12/90. Oil level at oil temperature of 20-50°C: between min. and max. marks. 3rd version (aluminum housing) Plastic sleeve (30c) with fill level indicator as of 1/91. Oil level at oil temperature of approx. 20°C: between min. and max. marks. Engine 120 (plastic expansion tank) Plastic cover between cylinder heads remove, install. Cap remove, install. An oil dipstick with the marks "min" and "max" as well as the associated temperatures is present on the cap for the expansion reservoir
