Shift pressure, function - GF27.60-P-3015G Mercedes-Benz E-class W211/S211

Shift pressure, function - GF27.60-P-3015G

TRANSMISSION 722.6

Operation

The shift pressure is determined by the shift pressure regulating solenoid valve (Y3/6y2) and the shift pressure regulating valve.

The shift pressure

  1. Regulates the pressure in the activating shift element during the shift phase.
  2. Determines together with the modulating pressure the pressure reduction at the deactivating shift element as regulated by the overlap regulating valve.
  3. Initializes 2nd gear in limp-home mode.
