Connector Disconnection

Perform the following works, before the connectors are disconnected. Remove the engine cover. (See «ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP]»(ref-367623-S37771794152010072700000) .) Remove the battery cover. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP]»(ref-367630-S30865077932010072700000) .) Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See «BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP]»(ref-367630-S30865077932010072700000) .)

Make sure that there are no DTCs in the EPS memory after working on EPS related parts. If there are any codes in the memory, clear them.

EPS System Neutral Setting

CAUTION

After working on the steering system, always set the EPS system to the neutral position to prevent system malfunction.
