Diagnostic Trouble Code Access

  1. Use New Generation Star (NGS) Tool (49 T088 0A0) to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes. Connect NGS tool to data link connector 2. (Scheme 9) Refer to operation manual for proper operation of NGS tool. Select DIAGNOSTIC TEST MODE function on tool and press trigger.
  2. Note diagnostic trouble codes. Check «DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION TABLE»(ref-18617-S02016290502000123000000) for possible cause. If more than one code is present, codes will be displayed in numerical order. Clear codes after repairs are complete. See «CLEARING CODES»(ref-18617-S29413938752000123000000). If NO CODES RECEIVED/SYSTEM PASSED is displayed, all systems monitored are okay. If LINK MONITOR ERROR is displayed, check NGS tool connection for proper connection.
