REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Note. On models with anti-theft radio system, obtain code number from customer and deactivate audio anti-theft function before disconnecting battery.
Removal & Installation (Millenia)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove right front fender rocker molding. Remove right front inner fenderwell. Drain washer fluid from washer reservoir. Disconnect washer motor electrical connector. Disconnect washer fluid hose. Remove washer motor from washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (MX-5 Miata, Protege & 626)
Remove washer reservoir. See WASHER RESERVOIR . Remove washer motor from washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove right front fender rocker molding. Remove right front inner fenderwell. Disconnect washer motor electrical connector. Remove washer reservoir retaining screw. Disconnect washer fluid hose. Remove washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (MX-5 Miata)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect washer motor electrical connector. Disconnect washer fluid hose. Remove washer reservoir retaining screws. Remove washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Protege)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Partially peel back right front inner fenderwell. If equipped with washer fluid level sensor, partially remove right side of front bumper for access. Remove washer reservoir retaining screw. Disconnect washer motor electrical connector. Disconnect washer fluid hose. Remove washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (626)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Partially peel back right front inner fenderwell. Disconnect electrical connector(s). Disconnect washer fluid hose. Remove washer reservoir retaining screw. Remove washer reservoir. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove wiper arm caps. Remove wiper arm nuts. Remove wiper arms. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust wiper arms. See WIPER ARMS under ADJUSTMENTS.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove wiper arms. See WIPER ARMS . Remove cowl grille screw caps and screws. Remove cowl grille weatherstrip. Remove cowl grille. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Remove wiper motor and frame assembly retaining screws. Disconnect wiper link from wiper motor. Remove wiper motor and frame assembly. Remove wiper motor retaining bolts. Remove wiper motor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust wiper arms. See WIPER ARMS under ADJUSTMENTS.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect wiper link from wiper motor. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Remove wiper motor retaining bolts. Rotate wiper motor counterclockwise to remove from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Removal & Installation (Protege & 626)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove wiper arms. See WIPER ARMS . Remove cowl grille weatherstrip. Remove cowl grille screw caps and screws. Remove cowl grille. Disconnect wiper link from wiper motor. Disconnect wiper motor harness connector. Remove wiper motor retaining screws. Remove wiper motor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust wiper arms. See WIPER ARMS under ADJUSTMENTS.
